The Festival Players in The Tempest by William Shakespeare

Adults £18, family four £50, under 16 and students £10.

Outdoor Theatre in The Spotlight Gardens

Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ presented by BArts in conjunction with The Festival Players International.

See this play as Shakespeare himself first saw it, in the open air, with an all male cast and Elizabethan costumes & music. Shakespeare’s last, and great, play is a triumphant compilation of intrigue, magic, and humour.

Prospero, an exiled Duke with supernatural powers, creates a great storm which sees his enemies shipwrecked on his island. Magic abounds, plots are exposed, and a colourful array of characters gain their deserts. Fascinating entertainment.

The Festival Players, an acclaimed all-male Company, patron Judi Dench, bring us a crystal clear, energetic, colourful production, directed by Michael Dyer, enhanced by original songs composed by Johnny Coppin.

Bring a chair and a picnic and prepare to be entertained and transported. Book early to avoid missing out!

Gardens open for Picnics from 6pm.
(NB All drinks must be purchased from the bar)
In the event of bad weather the performance will be held inside

This event is part of the Love Hoddesdon Midsummer Festival
